Manchester City are on the verge of signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker amid keen transfer interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
The 27-year-old has been a subject of transfer interest from a couple of clubs in the Premier League with reports that Chelsea and Manchester United are both keen on landing the right-back.
Jose Mourinho is understood to be on the look for a younger defender to cover for Antonio Valencia who is already 31-year-old. Although, the United boss rates the Ecuadorian highly but believes a younger full back can help bolster his squad ahead of next season.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has also been credited with an interest in Walker due to his explosive displays with Spurs and considers him an ideal competition for Victor Moses in the right wing-back position.
However, reports in the Daily Star have it that Pep Guardiola has moved ahead of his league rivals, agreeing a summer deal for Kyle Walker who is reportedly valued at £40million.
The report also claim that Manchester City are confident of landing Walker ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea after holding talks with Spurs, with strong indications that City are ready to meet the demand for the defender.
