A 43-year-old Nigerian Bolt driver, Benjamin Okoronkwo, will be laid to rest on Friday, August 30, in his hometown, Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government of Ebonyi State.
Okoronkwo was shot dead in his car by unknown assailants at about 3 a.m on August 3, in South Africa. Information gathered showed that the deceased is survived by two children and a pregnant wife.
Spokesperson of the Nigerian Citizens Association South Africa, Sunny-Wenike Douglas, who confirmed the death of the Nigerian, said Simeon was a Bolt driver who was killed almost immediately after dropping off his clients in a part of the city.
Simeon’s death comes few weeks after a Nigerian insurance officer, Mrs Obianuju Ndubuisi-Chukwu, was murdered in South Africa while attending a conference there. Also a Nigerian teenager, Dennis Chinonso Obiaju, was also shot dead in Johannesburg by suspected armed robbers on July 20th.
