Several renowned artists including Burna Boy, Ayra Star, and Tems have received nominations for the prestigious BET Awards 2024, scheduled for June 30th.
Burna Boy, known as the ‘African Giant’, earned nods in two significant categories: Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, underscoring his influence across multiple genres.
Competing against industry heavyweights like Drake, Usher, and Kendrick Lamar, Burna Boy faces stiff competition.
Tems secured nominations for Video Director of the Year and Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award, while Ayra Starr will vie for the Best New Artist title alongside Tyla.
Other Nigerian talents recognized include Asake and Ayra Starr for Best International Act, and Seyi Vibez for Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act.
