President Bola Tinubu has met and exchanged greetings with the former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode.
The meeting was at a welcome party in Lagos, where Ambode also exchanged pleasantries with his successor, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as seen in a video obtained by DAILY POST.
Speaking during the meeting, Tinubu said: “I’m glad to see Ambode.”
The former governor served one term in office and lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in the state to Sanwo-Olu in 2019 after a fallout with his then-political godfather, Tinubu.
The fallout led to the emergence of Sanwo-Olu.
During the electioneering period, Ambode and Sanwo-Olu also clashed as they traded words with each other.
However, Sanwo-Olu had reached out to Ambode during his 60th birthday recently.
The governor said Ambode dedicated his time to the service of Lagos State as a governor and civil servant.
