1. Freddy Adu

 

 

Freddy Adu is first on our list, he is an American footballer, and he played as a midfielder. His career started at the age of 14 when he signed with MLS giants DC United.

 

He was then called up to join the Premier League club; Manchester United, as he was described as "talented".

 

Well, unfortunately, his career took an unexpected turn, when he signed for the Portuguese club; Benfica. He struggled to get game time, and he was sent on loan several times. He spent so many months as a free agent.

 

Adu had no choice but to go for a small club; Las Vegas Lights, after he lost his spot in MLS giants.

 

2. Nicklas Bendtner

 

 

Nicklas Bendtner is next on our list, he is a professional footballer from Denmark. All eyes were on him when he initially signed for Arsenal. So many expected that he would perform well in the Gunners lineup.

 

But, he didn't, Arsenal lost faith in him and sent him out on loan to Sunderland.

 

He tried hard to get his spot back on Arsenal, but all his effort proved abortive. He also had a brief history with Juventus and Wolfsburg, and after that, he was left as a free agent.

 

He ended up looking for a small club, and then signed for minnows Nottingham Forest. Unfortunately, he also missed his spot in the Denmark national team, due to injuries.

Carlos Kaiser is a Brazilian footballer, and he can be described as the most deceitful player in the history of soccer, which makes him one of the worst.

 

It is fascinating to know that throughout his professional career, he didn't play a match.

 

He signed for a Mexican club when he was only 16. Well, he didn't enjoy playing, so he kept pretending that he was suffering from injuries, just to avoid playing. He is one of the worst players in history.

 

4. Gabriel Obertan

 

 

Gabriel Obertan is next on our list, he played as a striker, but he was one of the worst in football history.

 

He was signed by Manchester United in 2009, and the club had high hopes for him, he played 14 matches with the Red Devils and scored no goal.

 

He was then signed by New Castle, and, in 58 appearances, Gabriel who played as a leading striker score only 2 goals. He was then released from his contract.

 

His career slowly faded, he started looking for small clubs, in 2019 he signed for; BB Erzurumspor, with 68 appearances, he scored only 6 goals.

 

5. Bebe

 

 

Bebe is next on our list, he is a Portuguese footballer. He initially signed as a midfielder for Manchester United and played only 2 games, but the red devil was not pleased with this performance.

 

He was sent on loan several times, before eventually leaving the Premier League club. No one took responsibility for his awful time at Manchester United.

 

After series of loans, he went on to play for the Portuguese club; Benfica. With just one appearance, Bebe was sent on loan for 2 good years. His story didn't end there.

 

He signed for Eibar, and after 31 appearances, he was sent on loan again at Rayo Vallecano. The club decided to keep him, that is where he plays now.
