Take A Look At This 4 Incidents That Could Have Led To Arsenal Defeating Man City

Arsenal once again failed to beat a Manchester City side managed by Pep Guardiola in the Premier League, the gunners have failed to win an EPL game against Pep Guardiola under 3 different managers stretching way back to the days of Arsene Wenger.

But their latest loss could have been a different story entirely, Arsenal lost 1:0, a goal scored by Raheem Sterling was enough for Man City to take all 3 points, but Arsenal could have easily won the game or secured a draw, during the game 4 distinctive incidents happened that could have led to Arsenal scoring more than one goal and probably win the game

Take A Look At This 4 Incidents That Could Have Led To Arsenal Defeating Man City

1. A High foot By Kyle Walker

Manchester defender Kyle Walker raised his foot high in the box so close to Gabriel Magalhaes head, it was supposed to be a ball contested with the head but Walker went in with a with his foot on another day that could have easily been a penalty and probably a red card.

Let's say a penalty was given, there is little doubt Aubameyang would miss from the spot plus a possible red card to Walker would have meant Arsenal had a man advantage, such situation could have led to Arsenal scoring another goal and probably win the game.

2. Ederson Saving Aubameyang's 1 on 1

The usually deadly Arsenal striker failed to convert a one on one situation, Auba was played in and had just Ederson to beat but the Brazilian did well to keep him out.

3. Dani Ceballos Passing To Aubameyang Instead Of Continuing The Counter Attack With Nketiah

In the second half Arsenal had a rare counter Attack, Ceballos had the ball and he also had Aubameyang, Lacazette and Nketiah attacking Man City with him, the best opportunity was for him to continue the counter attack with Nketiah who was making a beautiful run down the right channel but instead he returned back to Aubameyang who was almost behind him, the move didn't yield any reasonable chance.

Had the Spanish Midfielder found Eddie Nketiah, the young striker could have had the opportunity to put in a cross for Aubameyang and Lacazette to score.

4. Ederson Saving Bukayo Saka's Chance

Saka was Arsenal's Best player throughout the game and the 18 year old had Arsenal's best chance of the game but Ederson once again came to the rescue as he saved the ball at point blank range in from 6 yards out.

Although the ball fell at Bukayo Saka's weaker foot, had that been his left foot it would have been 1:1.

Har these 4 situations played to Arsenal's favour, we would have had Arsenal scoring 3 goals with Kyle Walker getting red carded and a possible 4th goal with the Dani Ceballos misjudged pass.
