The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, in a public interview held October 11, 2020, has reported the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The IGP says officials caught under the exceptional police unit, SARS, will presently be sent for different purposes and another enemy of burglary crew with similar targets as SARS to be named later.
