The United shot-stopper has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital, since his proposed move fell through during the 2015 summer window and there are reports that Real are trying to get De Gea or his Chelsea counterpart, Thibaut Courtois.
Real Madrid are currently serving a transfer ban till the end of the season and have shortlisted several options as they try reinforce their squad and Perez has refused to be drawn into the speculations over the Spain international.
He said: said: “Someone is messing around there with De Gea.
“We’re not going to deny everything that comes out about transfers.
“We won’t work on any signing until the end of the season. Everyone is really happy with Keylor Navas.”
Real Madrid are also monitoring quite a number of targets ahead of a major rout in the summer transfer window.
