Former Germany national team
captain Michael Ballack has urged Arsenal star Mesut Ozil to dump the
Gunners for a move to German club Bayern Munich for him to win major
silverware.
Ozil's
current deal with the Gunners will expire in June 2018, but his future
at the Emirates stadium is in doubt as talks over a contract renewal
have yet to reach a successful conclusion.
The 28-year-old former Real
Madrid player has been linked with a number of clubs recently but
Ballack believes a move to the Bundesliga champions would be ideal for
him.
"Mesut is an amazing player. He knows that he is one of the undisputed stars at Arsenal and lots of club would love to have him.
"But if he wants to win a major title, he has a bigger chance to achieve that at Bayern Munich,'' Ballack explained.
Meanwhile,
Arsenal's hope of winning the Premier League title this season seems to
have been decimated after their loss at Chelsea as the Gunners now
occupy fourth position on the standings with 47 points, and they are 12
points behind leaders Chelsea.
