Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has once
again insisted that Spanish striker Diego Costa will not dump the
current Premier League leaders at the end of the season.
There has been lots of reports since 2016 that Costa would be leaving the Blues for a mega deal to the Chinese Super League.
The
47-year-old Italian manager has now explained that the former Atletico
Madrid forward is happy at Stamford bridge, and will wear the Blues'
jersey next term.
“Diego is really an important player to
us, and the situation is very clear. He is very happy to stay with us.
He is very happy to fight for the title.
“Will he stay here for a long time? Yes, I think so. I think so.
“I see him every day and I see his commitment, his behaviour is very involved in the team. He loves this club.” Conte explained
Meanwhile,
Chelsea are currently topping the Premier League standings, and manager
Antonio Conte is on the verge of winning the League title in his first
season as the Chelsea manager.
