Rivers: Fubara Approves N100000 As Christmas Bonus For Civil Servants

RIVERS NLC APPLAUDS FUBARA OVER CHRISTMAS BONUS

The organized labour in Rivers State
has described the Christmas bonus approved for civil servants in the State by governor Siminalayi Fubara as a new record set in fostering good relationships between the workforce and the State government.

Governor Fubara had on Tuesday approved the sum of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000.00) as Christmas bonus for all civil servants on the payroll of the State government.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by NLC State Chairperson,Comrade Alex Agwanwor, TUC State Chairperson, Comrade Sir Ikechukwu Onyefuru and JNC State Chairperson, Comrade Chuku Emecheta.

The statement recalled how the Peter Odili administration gave twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) as Christmas bonus but governor Fubara's gesture has surpassed that record.

According to the statement, with the kind gesture, the governor has further proven himself as the Worker’s Governor.

The statement enjoined all civil servants in Rivers State to strongly support the administration of governor Fubara.

"We warn all political detractors to desist from distracting HE as any further attack on HE will be treated as attack on Rivers Workers.

"We reiterate the unalloyed support of workers to the Governor Siminalayi Fubara led administration."

The statement urged workers in Rivers State to continue to pray for peace during this time of political crisis.
