Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that his only problem with striker Nicolas Jackson’s display for the Blues against Liverpool was that the striker was a bit isolated during the encounter.
Pochettino insisted that Jackson needs more support from his teammates, adding that his performance against Liverpool was fantastic.
Jackson featured as Chelsea drew 1-1 with Liverpool in their Premier League opener on Sunday.
Luis Diaz and Axel Disasi scored a goal for their respective clubs.
Speaking about Jackson’s performance, Pochettino told Sky Sports after the game: “I think he was fantastic. We knew him because he was playing in Spain last season – I used to live in Spain, I spent a lot of time there.
“The only problem was that he was a little bit isolated sometimes, and sometimes he needed more help.
“He was fighting really well, I am very happy with his performance, but I think like a team and like a coach, we need to provide for him and play closer to him and help him.”
