The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has held her rally in Awka, signposting the beginning of a forceful campaign to consolidate her place as one of the party to reckon with in Nigeria Political Architecture.

The rally witnessed the handing over of the party's flag to candidates contesting for various elective positions from APGA's Presidential Candidate, Prof. Peter Umeadi to Governorship candidates of the States across the country. APGA has also fielded thousands of candidates for legislative positions in National and State level respectively for the February and March elections.

Speaking to the thousands of party supporters, Governor Soludo and other notable speakers including the National Chairman of the party, Ozonkpu Victor Oye, the BOT Chairman and the former Governor of the State, Chief Willie Obiano, Former Ambassador of Nigeria to Spain and Wife of the late National Leader, Amb. Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu all described APGA as the party with real interest in the unity and development of the State and the country in General.

Prof. Soludo emphasized that APGA is one of the first party in the history of Nigeria's return to democracy in 1999 with true progressive ideals for masses.

He called on the Federal Government to release Mazi Nnamdi KANU to enable him fast track the peace and reconciliation process to bring lasting peace to the insecurity threat in the Southeast.

In their separate remarks, the APGA governorship candidate for Delta State, Chief. Great Ovedje Ogboru, APGA, Nnewi North Federal House Of Representative Candidate, Hon. Engr. Ikenna Sylvester Ofoedeme, APGA Federal House Of Representative Candidate for Aguata, Engr. Dominic Ifeanyi Okafor, APGA Candidate For Orumba, Onitsha 1 Candidate for the State House of Assembly, Hon. Tony Nwaeze Nwora And Lady Maureen Gwacham all expressed their satisfaction with the turnout of the rally.

According to them, it is a clean sign that Anambra, Southeast and even beyond is APGA and they are hopeful the February and March elections will turn in their favour.

The Chairman of the central organising committee expressed pleasure and satisfaction with the success of the rally. He said the said the signal is quite clear that Anambra is AGPA and that the party is out to deliver the dividends of democracy.

Other keynote dignitaries who are also members of the central organising committee who were present at the rally are the APGA State chairman, Sir Norbert Obi, Chief Of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Obiogbolu as well as other commissioners, MD/CEO ACTDA, Mr. Ossy Onuko, Prince Sunday Uchenda and other Transition Committee Chairmen just to mention a few.
