Matches expected to have shocking results revealed

The English Premier League (EPL) week nine will commence on Saturday afternoon with Arsenal facing Tottenham Hotspur in a London derby in an early kick-off at Emirates Stadium.

However, DAILY POST takes a look at the matches that fans could see shock results in the Premier League this weekend:

1. Crystal Palace vs Chelsea:

Chelsea currently sits in the 7th position on the Premier League table with ten points from six matches.

The Blues have won three, drawn one and lost two of their six games in the English top-flight league.

Graham Potter’s side is currently four points ahead of Crystal Palace, which occupies the 16th position.

But Chelsea struggled in their last two games against RB Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League as they played 1-1 and lost 1-0, respectively.

However, Patrick Vieira’s side will not make it easy for Chelsea due to their strong frontline.

2. Liverpool vs Brighton:

Liverpool will host Brighton on Saturday at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side has won two, drawn three and lost one of their six matches so far this season, while Brighton has won four, drawn one and lost one of their six games.

The Reds presently sit in the 8th position on the log with nine points from six matches, while Brighton is in 4th position with 13 points from the same number of matches.

Goal conceding seems to be a bit of an issue for Liverpool at the moment as there are still a few questions marks over what is going on with Klopp’s side at the backline.

But if that continues this weekend against Brighton, who have scored eleven goals so far in their last six matches, then the visitors could surprise the host.

3. Southampton vs Everton:

Southampton will host Everton at St. Mary’s Stadium.

The Saints have won two, drawn one and lost four of their seven games while Everton has won one, drawn four and lost 2.

Southampton currently sits in the 14th position on the log with seven points, while Frank Lampard’s side is in the 13th position with the same number of points.

Ralph Hasenhüttl’s men lost their last game 1-0 against Aston Villa, while Everton won 1-0 against West Ham.

Southampton will look to make it hard for the Toffees with a plan to hit them on the counterattack.
