Goldberg Premium Lager Beer has announced that the physical auditions for its much anticipated music talent platform tagged “Ariya Omoluabi” will commence on Friday 7th October and will run till Sunday 16th October. The physical auditions will take place in Abeokuta, Akure, Ibadan and Lagos and will serve as a platform to choose the talents that will participate on the show.
It will be recalled that the brand had announced in September that the winner of “Ariya Omoluabi” will take home 10 million naira cash prize, a 15 million album recording deal with some of the finest producers in Nigeria, a 15 million music distribution deal, and a 5 million video production deal. The first and second runners up will take home 3 million naira and 2 million naira respectively.
Goldberg’s brand ambassador and YBNL boss, Olamide will also be on the lookout to provide exceptional talents with opportunities that will boost their music carers. The call to entry announcement had garnered over thirteen thousand online entries covering Juju, Fuji, and Hip-hop music genres.
The city of Abeokuta will open the physical auditions on Friday 7th October at Status Bar, Beside Justrite Supermarket, Ijeja. Akure will follow suite on Sunday 9th October at Success Bar, KM 2, Tufaco Block Industry Compound, Akure. Ibadan will take its turn on Friday 14th October at the Trans Amusement Park while Lagos will close the auditions on Sunday 16th October at the First Gardens, Costain.
Senior Brand Manager, Goldberg, Olaoluwa Babalola, said it had become necessary to have the physical auditions because of the volume of entries that were submitted online.
“The Goldberg Ariya Omoluabi platform has evolved over the years and we are excited about this year’s edition. It is important for us to ensure that the show is competitive, reflects our philosophy of the Omoluabi and is worth the time of the viewers and consumers. This is why we are using this physical auditions to select the most promising talents to be on the show.

We have over the years leveraged our music talent hunt platform to discover exceptional talents who continue to put in the work with the hope that they will be recognized and celebrated someday,” Babalola noted.
The Goldberg Ariya Omoluabi will be shown every Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 pm from 22nd October on Sound City TV and ONTV.
The platform which was conceptualised as a platform for budding fuji artistes, called Fuji to Bam has since evolved into a spectacle for more indigenous genres, including juju music and hip-hop.
