Why I’ll never speak badly about Real Madrid, Mourinho – Kaka

Former Real Madrid attacking midfielder, Ricardo Kaka, has given a reason why he would never speak badly about the club or their former manager, Jose Mourinho.

Kaka said he would never speak badly about Real Madrid or Mourinho because leaving the Los Blancos was the best memory of his career in Spain, adding that he had great satisfaction after they opened the door for him to leave the club.

The Brazilian joined Real Madrid during Manuel Pellegrini’s regime from AC Milan for €67 million back in 2009.

Kaka arrived at Real Madrid in the same transfer window as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Xabi Alonso, and Alvaro Arbeloa.

While Kaka enjoyed a good start to his life in Madrid, his form started to fade the following season as Mourinho took over from Pellegrini after the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria were preferred over the Brazilian by Mourinho.

Kaka eventually left Real Madrid at the end of the 2012-2013 season after making 120 appearances for the LaLiga giants as he netted 29 goals and registered 39 assists for them.

“It may sound strange, but I prefer the day that it was confirmed that I was leaving. Because I spoke with Florentino, and he told me that they saw me as a great professional who had done everything possible to achieve great results in Madrid. But the injuries and the few minutes that the coach gave me did not allow it,” Kaka told MARCA.

“That was a great satisfaction because I felt that the doors of the club were open. That is why you will never hear me speak ill of Madrid or José Mourinho. In fact, when I met Florentino in the Champions League final in Paris this year, we embraced.”
