Chelsea's game against Leicester City tonight might still be tied at 0-0, but the game has been entertaining nonetheless. Chelsea come into this game needing a win and 3 points to go above Leicester City in the Premier league table while Leicester City are hoping to do the double over Thomas Tuchel's men in just over 4 days. The hame statted with Chelsea dominating thr ball possession and creating goalscoring chances. The blues looked sharp as they penetrated the Leicester City back line time and time again.
Few minutes into the game, there was a penalty shout by Chelsea players after Tielemans appeared to kick Werner in the foot on the edge of the penalty area. Mike Dean did not give the penalty but a relay chowed that Werner was indeed kicked by Tielemans. After that incident, it was Timo Werner throughout. The Chelsea striker was played in by Mason Mount after a quick Chelsea counter and he scored it wonderfully, only to look back and see that the linesman had his flag raised for offside. VAR took a look at that and ruled out the goal.
Minutes later, Timo Werner had another date with VAR as the goal he though he had scored after a corner kick was ruled out by VAR for handball. It was two times tonight that VAR have ruled out Timo Werner's goal for either handball or offside. In the process, Werner made himself the Premier league player who have been caught offside the most this season in the league.
Here's what the fans had to say about this on social media...
