The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed June 28 to resume the continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise ahead of the 2023 elections.
Mahmood Yakubu, INEC chairman, announced the date at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
The commission earlier targeted the resumption of the exercise in the first quarter of 2021.
But Yakubu said the target was now not met due to some sports which include the creation of new systems to make certain the registration is consistent with COVID-19 suggestions, expansion of voter get admission to to polling gadgets and creation of latest voter registration device and era.
