Emmanuel Chigozie Eze, Head of Sales for Procter & Gamble company, has been arrested after blowing N20m Company Fund on online betting.
Eze was arrested by EFCC operatives along ‘K Line area’ of Ewet Housing Estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, following a petition.
The petitioner alleged that Eze used his position as Head of Sales for Procter & Gamble, to supply goods worth over N20m to customers and converted the proceeds into personal use.
According to the complainant, the suspect among March 2020 and January 2021, bought items really worth the stated amount and fraudulently gathered monies from numerous customers the usage of his private account in preference to the agency’s account.
Investigations into the problem revealed that the suspect become a playing addict as he spent over N4m placing bets on day by day foundation with nearly nothing to expose for it.
It become also located that among July and December 2020, the suspect received over N18m from one of the agency’s essential customers (call withheld) for items, which were no longer fully added.
According to the consumer, she’s still awaiting the balance of goods really worth over N8m.
The suspect will be charged to courtroom as soon as investigations are concluded.
