A yet to be distinguished Fulani herder on Tuesday purportedly hacked a farmer in Ijabe, Osun State, recognized as Ridwan, to death.
Ridwan was supposed to be dealing with his ranch at Bole town along Iba Road when the herder assaulted him.
A source in Ijabe town told our journalist that Ridwan had misconception with the herder that killed him at some point a year ago.
The source said the perished had blamed the herder for munching his steers on his homestead, adding that the pair had a cold relationship since the episode occurred.
He stated, "After the Fulani man had executed the demonstration, and the information on the assault sifted into town, a few occupants prepared to the settlement of the Fulani herders and held onto three individuals, including the man blamed for perpetrating the wrongdoing.
"The three individuals were whipped into a bloody mess and were later given over to the police in Okuku division."
When reached, representative for the Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, requested additional time before response.
