President Buhari’s Failure Responsible For Attacks On Fulani Herdsmen - Sule Lamido Says

 

THE former governor of Jigawa State , Alhaji Sule Lamido, has said that the unfortunate hatred and attacks on Fulani (herders ) in Nigeria was as a result of the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari to govern the country well.
Lamido, who was a previous Minister of Foreign Affairs, offered the comment while talking with newsmen in Kano on Thursday. 

He deplored that " Nigerians in the wake of placing in their trust in President Muhammad Buhari, a Fulani head , he has woefully neglected to secure and give great administration to them. 

" That today , Nigerians are so blindfolded on the contempt and obvious aversion of Fulani since President Buhari 's misgovernance , failing to remember that not all Fulani even decided in favor of him or like him . " 

He added, " You can consider that to be as a Fulani, I didn ' t vote in favor of Buhari and our gatherings are totally extraordinary, and yet, the Yoruba in Tinubu , the Igbo in Ngige and the South - South in Ameachi, were the ones who immovably remained behind him to win the political race , not even the Fulanis. 

" I anticipated Bola Tinubu , Rotimi Ameachi and any semblance of Ngige to come out and honestly talk in assurances of the Fulani since they are behind the appointment of Buhari who is a Fulani head and who likewise profited tremendously from his administration not even the Herders , who are today being mistreated. 

" But their criminal quiet even with the horrendous assaults on Fulani in the wake of benefitTing mutually in the public authority drove by a Fulani nonentity, is troubling and something like a double-crossing of trust to the President and his family, " Lamido said . 

As indicated by him, " Fulani Herders are serene and ambitious individuals who seek after nature and live by the nature. They are rarely brutal ; it isn't reasonable on the grounds that Buhari fizzled and any remaining Fulanis ought to be chastised ." 

He said , " Today , the northerners and the whole Fulani race are not in harmony even in the North . The uncertainty and the killings in addition to kidnappings made by the APC - drove Buhari system have influenced everybody . In this way, to menace them and consider them to be Nigeria issues is adding perilous salt to their wounds" .
