To achieve the arranged resuming of the third Mainland Bridge on February 22nd, 2021 because of the on-going restoration/upkeep works, the Lagos State Government thusly declare the moving of the current redirection point on the scaffold to a closer situation for traffic coming from Iyana Oworosoki going to Adekunle or Lagos Island.

This change is to permit the expulsion, substitution and projecting of joint No. 23 notwithstanding the two different joints (16 and 17) that are as of now being dealt with by the Federal Ministry of Works contractual worker.

The arranged two fourteen days transitory traffic stream changes will be from 12 PM fifteenth January, 2021 to 12 PM 29th January, 2021. The current traffic status will at that point continue at 00.01 hrs 30th January, 2021.

As per this assertion, drivers and workers that employ this passageway are to observe the accompanying traffic changes:-

1. There will be no vehicular access from Iyana Oworosoki to Adekunle hub on the slip street/slope down on the third Mainland Bridge for the fourteen days time frame (12 PM fifteenth to 12 PM 29th January, 2021) impermanent change limitations. All traffic from Ogudu, Alapere and Gbagada going to Adekunle hub should utilize Ikorodu Road, Jibowu and Yaba as elective courses.

2. There will be no entrance for vehicular developments from the Adekunle hub towards Iyana Oworosoki on third Mainland Bridge between 12 PM and 1pm (fifteenth to 29th January, 2021). All Iyana Oworosoki bound traffic from the Lagos Island, Iddo, Oyingbo, Adekunle and Yaba should utilize Herbert Macaulay Way, Jibowu and Ikorodu as elective courses.

3. The current hybrid situation on the scaffold for Adekunle or Lagos Island bound traffic from Iyana Oworosoki between 12 PM and 12 early afternoon will presently be at another closer situation for about fourteen days.

4. The current shared development of 12 PM to 12 early afternoon for Lagos Island traffic bound from Iyana Oworosoki will remain.

5. The current 1pm to 12 PM Mainland (Iyana Oworosoki) bound traffic stream from the Lagos Island will remain.

6. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will keep on guaranteeing the incredible administration of traffic light and implementation on the third Mainland Bridge and all distinguished elective courses to guarantee a bearable and worthy traffic development experience for drivers during these difficult periods.

Any remaining past traffic stream warning estimates reported by the Lagos State Government for the incomplete conclusion of the third Mainland Bridge continue as before.

While guaranteeing that the scaffold will be opened to traffic stream at the earliest opportunity, the Lagos State Government through this assertion advances to street clients along the passageway to drive quietly and follow the traffic exhortation as any burden this may cause will be impermanent.

Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation
