The country-wide attacks on several warehouses in search for Covid-19 palliatives by hoodlums has been a trend since the past few days. It started from Maza Maza in Lagos, extended to Ilorin in Kwara State, Calabar in Cross River, Awka, Enugu and so many other places. Some State residents like Ekiti and Plateau State even looted warehouses where they got chemically treated seeds like corn and wheat that were meant for next year's planting. They were seriously warned by their respective state government not to consumed the items as they were all harmful to human health.
It is really disheartening to find out that what was given out by the Federal government to be shared to her citizens were being hoarded by the same people who are said to be representing them. Some had the 'Garri', cassava flakes they got almost decaying because it has overstayed.
This led to a continuous search and ransacking of every warehouse by hoodlums and residents in the search for their palliatives.
Owing to this, a woman identified as Inemesit Green-Nathaniel has shared a story on her Facebook wall on how she discovered an unbelievable fact yesterday.
She said she bought a carton of Indomie Noodles from the market few days ago but something kept drawing her attention to the carton every now and then. So in a bid to satisfy her curiosity, she went to the carton and started observing every design, write-up and drawings on the carton. She did this until she finally laid her finger on an edge and found out that the sticker was attached to the carton, so she peeled it off.
To her greatest surprise, she saw a tag written in bold letters "CACOVID-19 PALLIATIVE NOODLES, NOT FOR SALE."
The woman is from Akwa Ibom State and therefore asked the people in her State to stop if they are searching for any palliative as they all have been sold. She expressed her sadness on how she has been buying something that was rightfully meant for her, freely.
Check out her post below.
See how the write up was beautiful covered with a new sticker so that people would not notice there's something else below.
This has stirred a lot of reactions as it is difficult to believe that some states have sold the palliatives that were meant for the vulnerable masses who were brutally hit by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
This is more reasons for the movement that seeks the reformation of Nigeria and an end to bad governance.
Do you think the people of that state should ask questions on what happened to their Covid-19 palliatives that were provided by the Federal Government or they should just keep cool?
