Within the past two weeks, security situations in Nigeria has reportedly been on a black label as there been alleged damages of human lives, properties and alarming brutality.
These were as results of the EndSARS movement which later got into the hands of hoodlums, thereby becoming brutal leading to vandalism of people's lives and properties.
The reports of the incidents that happened at Lekki Tollgate in Lagos on the 10th of October, 2020 where lives of innocent protesters were allegedly massacred has also raised the attention of the world nations. Many high ranking personalities including Joe Bidden, Hillary Clinton, Nana Akuffo Addo and many more others had lent their voices to the EndSARS movement, calling on the Nigerian government to listen her citizens.
Responding to this, the President of the Federation had a meeting earlier today with Nigerian Army Chiefs and among the proceedings of the meeting was that the President will address Nigerians by 7pm.
During the address, many Nigerians probably expected the President to address the security situations, perhaps the alleged Tuesday massacre in Lekki, issues on the loss of innocent lives and many more but their hopes were dashed to the wall as he said different things to their greatest surprise.
He did not mention anything about the Lekki massacre, rather he advised world Nations to verify security information in Nigeria before spreading false information.
There were mixed reactions to the speech and as well, many people seemed to be speechless in their tweets. Some just used an emoji to express their speechlessness, people like Kiddwaya, Dorathy Bachor and others were asking about some foreign countries to know if they had free visa. This means that a lot of people are considering leaving the country. Some advised that everyone get their Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) so as to do the needful come 2023.
