Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford as the two sides meet for the first time this season. The red devils, who defeated the blues three times in four matches in all competitions last season will be looking to continue from where they left off last season, especially after their impressive win over PSG in midweek.
Team news
Manchester United
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has confirmed the availability of captain Harry Maguire, Mason Greenwood and summer signing Edinson Cavani with the former two returning from injury. Jesse Lingard is likely to sit this one out while Eric Bailey remains another injury absentee. Anthony Martial continues serving his suspension following his red card against Tottenham.
Chelsea
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has confirmed that Thiago Silva is fit enough to feature in the match after reports of a hip injury suffered against Sevilla emanated. The manager also confirmed that Kepa would be out for this match following a shoulder injury while Billy Gilmour is the only other player currently out due to injury.

Players to watch
Manchester United: Edinson Cavani
With Anthony Martial suspended, the Uruguayan will be looking to make his first appearance for the red devils and marking it with a excellent performance against the blues. He had a good record against Chelsea by the way.
Chelsea: Édouard Mendy
The Senegalese goalkeeper has recorded 2 clean sheets in 3 matches for the blues after an excellent display against Sevilla in midweek. He will be looking to record a third one against United.
Predicted lineups
Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is likely to continue with the lineup that defeated PSG in the UCL with captain Harry Maguire coming in for either Victor Lindelof or Axel Tuanzebe and Edinson Cavani for the suspended Martial the only changes. If Tuanzebe's excellent performance against PSG is anything to go by, he is likely to get the nod ahead of the Swede.
Chelsea
Frank Lampard seems to have settled on his first choice lineup and just might finally stick with a lineup for two consecutive matches following the 0-0 draw with Sevilla in the UCL.
