Nigeria’s economy is ranked as the 27th-largest economy in the world in terms of nominal GDP, and the 24th-largest in terms of purchasing power parity that means that the economy of Nigeria is strong.
Nigeria continues to grow up to 5-6% annually. There are many ongoing projects in Nigeria and it may continue to grow stronger in the future. These projects will enhance very fast economic growth of the country. It will eventually reduce the cost of production and transport of goods and services in Nigeria.
Nigeria has the biggest economy in Africa with a GDP of $446 billion compared to its closest competitor; South Africa, which has a GDP of $358 billion.
Here are the positive happenings you should be talking about that are going on in Nigeria:
1.The newly commissioned Enugu airport: The construction project of the runway of the Akanu Ibiam international airport in Enugu has been completed. It has also began flight operations.
2. The second Niger bridge: The second Niger bridge construction is a Nigerian Federal Government project that is 1.6 km long. It is expected to be completed in the year 2022.
3. The coaches for Abuja railway:The coaches for Abuja railway has almost been completed and we have to celebrate about this. It will aid good transport network and cheap transportation. We will soon have a good railway in Nigeria.
4. Port of Onne complex:The port is expected to cost $2.7 billion to construct. Port of Onne is an Oil and Gas Free Zone by the Federal decree. Today, over 110 companies operate in the zone that have made significant contributions to Nigeria’s economy through their businesses of pipe-coating, selling pipes, treating waste and building boats.
These are the positive things we should talking about in Nigeria and not the negative things.
