The victory of victory of Governor Godwin Obaseki in the September 19 Edo 2020 Election is set to be challenged at the Election Petitions Tribunal by the governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP), Iboyi Emmanuel.
Naija News reports that Emmanuel made his decision to challenge Obaseki’s election known at a news conference on Tuesday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital through ADP National Chairman Yabagi Yusuf Sani.
According to the ADP National Chairman, the decision to challenge Obaseki’s election aimed at strengthening democratic rule, adding that the ADP believed that the court should determine the propriety of Obaseki’s educational certificates and the process that led to his selection as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Edo election.
