#EndSARS: 17 Police Stations Burnt In Lagos – Police Spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi Says

Police representative says more than 17 police developments across Lagos State have been absolutely or halfway bulldozed by fire. 

The police in Lagos, on Friday, cautioned that the consuming of a few police headquarters over the state will prompt retrogression and a misuse of cash that might have been sent to different tasks. 

The police representative in the state, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, gave the admonition in a meeting with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. 

"The ramifications of this is that cash that has been put aside to do different ventures and build up specific regions should be directed into fixing these harmed stations." 

He said that more than 17 police arrangements over the state have been absolutely or halfway wrecked by fire, set on them by hooligans who invaded the #EndSARS dissidents. 

"Likewise, it will make our work harder now since we should upgrade our watches so as to cover more grassroots regions that are typically secured by the consumed stations previously. 

"I question if a portion of the grassroots stations will actually work at full limit once more, mulling over the harmed vehicles and PC hardware that have been lost," the official said. 

Mr Adejobi said that few reports had arrived at the order, claiming that hooligans are assaulting different neighborhoods unabated because of the breakdown of peace. 

NAN reports that last Wednesday, punks exploited the breakdown of lawfulness to plunder at Karonwi Avenue, Itire, Surulere. 

A NAN reporter saw that the plundering began around 8.30 p.m. till 12 PM as a few shops and houses were broken into and products worth great many naira trucked away. 

Mr Adejobi said that the order, typically, on accepting such protest, would coordinate the police headquarters closest to the zone to suppress whatever rough power was undermining the tranquility of the occupants.
