Abdullah Yusuf Diverted Benue COVID-19 Palliatives To Kano - Benue State Government Reveals

The Benue State Government on Wednesday revealed how a bit of the palliatives implied for the state was redirected to Kano by market boss. 

In a joint press instructions by the Commissioner for Information, Mrs Ngunen Adingi ; and Special Adviser to the Governor, Col. Paul Hemba (retd.), the administration said the Chairman of Wurukum Market in Makurdi, who hails from Kano State, Abdullah Yusuf, redirected the merchandise to Kano. 

Review that the police in Kano State had, hardly any weeks back during the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19, recuperated 1,958 containers of noodles suspected to have been redirected from Benue State to Kano. 

The Commissioner of Police in Kano, Habu Sani, had said that a few people were captured between July 23 and September 8. 

Tending to writers in Makurdi after the State Executive Council meeting, Adingi and Hemba said the state activity board on COVID-19 had disseminated a few palliatives to merchants at Wurukum market through its director who is from Kano. 

"The activity council on COVID-19 chose to disperse palliative to showcase brokers who were likewise influenced from not having the option to open their shops. 

"The market affiliation wasinvited and the palliatives were shared. Nonetheless, we heard that administrator of the market, Yusuf, gathered the palliative for the merchants and as opposed to circulating to brokers, he felt they should sell them and that is the manner by which the palliative got to Kano. 

"The issue is being researched and the administrator has been captured," the Information magistrate said.
