Liverpool started thier premier league campaign as they beat newly promoted Leeds united 4-3 at anfield. Thanks to Van dijk header and Mohammed salah hat trick that helped Liverpool gets thier premier league title defense off a winning start.
Leeds also made an impressive start on thier return to premier league after six years as came very close in taking the champions, coming from behind to equalize three times and playing some impressive stuff.
However despite the win Liverpool fans were not happy with Van dijk performance as many calls him a disaster. Vigil van dijk was in the score sheet, but was well below average,making terrible errors in the defense as he gave Patrick Bamford his first goal of the season, with Meteuz Klinch and Jack Harrison also finding the back of the net.
Since the star of the 2018/2019 season, no outfield player made more errors leading to goals in the premier league than Virgil van dijk.
I do really admire van dijk, and his great and talented centre back, but to say he is better than legends like John terry, Rio Ferdinand is totally wrong and not true, In my opinion may be once he wins several premier league tittle he might be bit for now he has a long way to go.
