Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in March 2020, Schools were shortdown indefinitely to contain the spread of the deadly virus. But down the line seven Months now, the students have been out home doing nothing, although some engaged in petty trading, while some it has become a burden to the parents as reports of misbehaviours have been reported from nearby neighbors.
With time the Federal Government of Nigeria found it necessary to easy down the lockdown to enable the populace struggle of their daily bread. But as time progresses, Worship centres were reopened, then, finally Market place. But recently, International airports started operating.
The only thing left undone now is reopening primary and secondary school. Having observe the declining rate of confirmed cases of COVID-19. States begins to announce her Resumption date for Schools.
Below are States which have Announced her Resumption date so Far. These are
1) Lagos State: 14th Sept, 2020 For all Tertiary Institutions
2) Lagos State: 21st Sept, 2020 for all Primary Secondary in the schools
3) Anambra State: 7th September,2020
4) Borno: no specific date for their papers othere resu ok
5) Osun State: to resume on 14th Sept,2020
This is indeed good start in the right direction.
I wish other states could take such steps and Boldness to emulate this states as students have stayed too long home in order to reduce social vises.
