Lionel Messi Reportedly 'staying at Barcelona' as star avoids prospect of legal wrangle

Lionel Messi has apparently surrender to the way that he should see out his Barcelona agreement and remain at the club for one more year. 

The Barca skipper had been wanting to leave the club on a free exchange this late spring, with Manchester City driving the pursuit for his administrations as they looked to rejoin him with his previous supervisor Pep Guardiola. 

Messi has gotten frustrated with life in Catalonia after Barca's shambolic 8-2 annihilation to Bayern Munich in the Champions League left them looking as distant from coming back to the high degree of European football as they have been since last winning Europe's greatest prize in 2015. 

Chief Quique Setien left not long after that misfortune, and has been supplanted by Ronald Koeman. 

Messi's dad Jorge has been holding chats with Barca bosses in an offer to work out his child's future, with the Messi camp clutching the expectation that they could misuse the way that a €700m buyout statement in the star's agreement did not exist anymore.
