Chelsea defender Marcos could be on his way to Spanish club Barcelona at the end of the ongoing League season in the Premier League.
Barcelona star Lionel Messi has reportedly told the Catalan giants to bring the 27-year-old Spaniard to the Nou Camp.
Chelsea were sent out of the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League by Barcelona who defeated the Blues 3-0 in the second leg of their knock out stage. But despite Barca’s comfortable win, reports in Spain suggest that Messi was impressed with Alonso’s performances over the two games.
And according to the report by Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Lionel Messi has told Barcelona chiefs that he wants to play with Marcos Alonso next season.
But it is not yet clear if Chelsea will want to lose Marcos Alonso at the end of the season.
Argentine superstar Lionel Messi proved himself again against the Blues as he scored the first goal and also gave a superb assist that resulted into the second goal for the Catalans.
Chelsea went into the match knowing fully well that they must score at the Camp Nou for them to have the chance of reaching the quarter final after the first leg ended 1-1.
