Arsenal Midfielder Signs New Long Term Deal to Remain at the Emirates



Arsenal midfielder Mohammed Elneny has signed a new long term deal to remain at the Emirates.
The Egyptian joined the London club from Switzerland club Basel in 2016 and have made 65 appearances ever since.
The 25-year-old began his senior career back home in his native country with El Mokawloon in the Egyptian Premier League. He then joined the Swiss club in 2013, and helped them to three Super League titles before Arsene Wenger bought him.
At international level, Eleneny is an experienced player in the national team and was part of the squad that recently helped Egypt qualify for their first World Cup appearance since 1990.
Eleney have also scored important goals for club and country one of which was the a superb finish in the 2-1 loss to Cameroon in the AFCON final.
Another was the a curling effort when the Gunners lost to Barcelona in the 2015/16 season where Arsenal lost at the Nou Camp to Catalan side.
Elneny featured in the Pharaoh’s 2-1 loss to an inspired Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal who scored two late goals to give his side the victory.
