The Nigeria's Minister of Youths and
Sports, Solomon Dalung, has been captured on camera, embarrassingly
referring to the Argentina national team as a football association in
Nigeria.
While speaking to correspondents just after the Federal Executive
Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, the Minister of Youths and Sports,
Solomon Dalung, spoke on the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s emphatic 4-2
victory against Argentina in Russia.
While trying to emphasis the top ranking of Argentina who were humiliated by a low ranking Nigeria, Dalung referred to Argentine national team as “an association in Nigeria’.
"Argentina is one of the highly ranked Football Association in Nigeria", the Minister was captured on camera saying.

Meanwhile, Dalung, revealed that the team’s victory was discussed and applauded at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
“The Federal Executive Council was officially informed that Nigeria had qualified for the World Cup in Russia 2018, having completed our match with Algeria.
“In our plans for Russia 2018, we have a driving philosophy. Our principle for 2018 is that Nigeria is not going to Russia as a spectator, we are contenders. The world should watch out for the new Nigerian soccer.
“From the outcome of what happened yesterday, there is no doubt that Nigeria has made a statement,’’ he said.
