Reports say some unidentified hoodlums have set the Osun state High Court in Ilesa on fire.
Punch
reports that the hoodlums stormed the court 2 handling some sensitive
cases in the state at about 6 am on Monday, February 13, 2017.
They reportedly wet the building
and the registry of the court with petrol before setting the court on
fire. The hoodlums did not however touch the registry.
The report claimed that a source confirmed that files and books within the court 2 chamber were destroyed in the fire incident.
“The hoodlums came very early and burnt down Court 2. They burnt everything inside the chamber and left.
“There
is no adequate security at the court and I think that is why they were
able to perpetrate the act without and resistance,” the source reportedly said.
The state government headed by Rauf Aregbesola was yet to react to the incident at the time of this report.
