The football family in Nigeria have been thrown into a state of
mourning, following the death of Shooting Stars midfielder Izu Joseph
last night.
Joseph was reportedly killed by security operatives in Rivers State, the
Joint Task Force (JTF), who are stationed in the state to fight
pipeline vandalism by hoodlums in the South South region of Nigeria.
Brila FM reports that the player was killed by a stray bullet from one of the security operatives.
However, there is no official statement from any quarters to confirm if he was indeed shot dead by the JTF as at the time of filing in this report.
