Police Release Statement On Shot Corps Member

The Nigerian Police have released a statement on the killing of a 27years old National Youth Service Corps menber, who was serving in Akwa Ibom State. The late corps memeber was shot dead by unknown assailants who were on a bike.

The 27years old Corp member was serving at a public school at Nung Obong in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom. The statement released stated that the Corp member was hanging out on Akanimo Street with other Corp members when he was shot. The statement was signed by the police spokesperson in the state, Bala Elkana.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, has deployed a special force from the State Criminal Investigation Department to Eket local government to investigate the case.

The police chief, who also visited the crime scene, assured the NYSC in the state that those behind the killing would be apprehended and brought to justice.
He promised that such action wouldn’t occur again.
